Hidden Mickeys: Terms of Use

Effective November 4, 2026. Version 2: approved photos and comments are now shown publicly on the Hidden Mickey Spotter website.

Hidden Mickeys (Hidden Mickey Spotter on the App Store) is a small, free app for finding, photographing and sharing Hidden Mickeys, with a read-only companion website at https://hiddenmickeys.incidentalfindings.org. It’s run by one person as a hobby project. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Hidden Mickeys is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company. “Hidden Mickey” is a fan term for the three-circle shapes hidden around Disney parks.

Who can use it

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • For now the app is invite-only. You need an invite code to join.
  • One account per person. Don’t share your account or use someone else’s.

Community rules (zero tolerance)

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and accounts that break them are banned, without warning.

Don’t post:

  • Sexual, violent, hateful, threatening or otherwise offensive photos or text.
  • Harassment, bullying or personal attacks, including in comments.
  • Photos where other guests’ faces can be recognized, or where people, especially children, are the main subject. Hidden Mickeys are the point; strangers aren’t. If someone is in the shot, keep them small, turned away or out of focus. Remember that approved photos are public.
  • Other people’s photos, or anything you don’t have the right to share.
  • Spam, advertising, links or anything off-topic.
  • Personal information about anyone, including yourself (phone numbers, addresses and so on).

Also don’t:

  • Try to get around moderation, bans or rate limits, or use the app with scripts or bots.
  • Do anything illegal, or anything that breaks park rules, to get a photo. Stay out of restricted areas and be considerate of other guests and cast members.

Moderation, reports and blocking

  • Every photo is checked before others can see it: automatically, and by a moderator unless you’re a trusted member. Comments are checked automatically and may be held for review.
  • You can report any photo, comment or person from inside the app, and block anyone so you no longer see their photos or comments. Blocking isn’t shown to the other person.
  • Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Content that breaks the rules is removed and the person who posted it may be banned.
  • The admins may remove any content or suspend any account at their discretion, including for reasons not listed here.

Your content

  • You keep ownership of the photos and text you post.
  • By posting, you give Hidden Mickeys a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, resize, display and share your content in the app and on its public website, where anyone can see approved content, together with your display name. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that have already been removed from public view but still exist in caches or backups for a short time.
  • You’re responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

The website

  • Anyone can view the website without an account. It shows approved Hidden Mickeys, photos and comments, and the display names on them. It doesn’t show anything that’s waiting for review or has been removed, and it never shows email addresses.
  • The website is read-only for visitors. Photos and comments are added in the app.
  • To report something on the website, use “Report a problem” on its page or email .
  • Removed content disappears from the website within about a day, usually much sooner.

Your account

  • You can delete your account at any time from Me → Delete account. This permanently removes your photos, comments and everything else you’ve added. See the Privacy Policy for details.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”, for fun. Locations, hints and photos come from other members and may be wrong, out of date or removed by the parks. The service may change, have outages or end at any time. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hidden Mickeys and its operator aren’t liable for any damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes

These terms may be updated. If the changes matter, the app will ask you to agree again before you continue.
